Keeping the Heritage of the Oud Alive
The IOA has amassed an ever-expanding database relating to the oud, which contains images and records of everything from old craft tools to blueprints, sketches, and instrument parts. Research on renowned oud makers, exceptional recordings, and rare instruments may be found in the database. The general public, academics, private collectors, and museum curators all benefit from this database and repository of historical instruments.
Another area the IOA invests in is the documentation and restoration of antique Oud.
